'Chemical Rush' by Jay Cool

Electric.
The thought of him,
the awakeness of the thought,
the imagined touch, and the making it happen for real.
Love. Lust. And confusion.

Confusion unreciprocated.

Electricity.

Buried.

Dormant.

Most likely forever.

She puts up the headstone.

Moves on through the years,
at a slow pace,
not quite ready
for death - but not

living.

Crawling on past the midpoint milestone,
she yanks back the fast trigger,
directing her aim at
the alien form
that charges
towards
her.

Then stops,
reaches out ….
fingertips touching.

Electric waves
rip through
her finger-
tips, shoot up her arms, and land in her
heart.

Is it possible to be loved-lusted back by
an alien, an animation?

Computer generated, reciprocal, love-lust.
A chemical reaction, recreated and reprinted, over and over and on -  holding back
time.

Reanimated, but not in a rush, she lives again.
